Own Statement (Aims & Intentions)

Aims and Intentions I will be targeting my intended audience by creating something that is related to the audience. By me meeting the audience interest it will make the magazine get more attention from the audience as well as be curious about the magazine and what it is about. This will affect the industry content by the product process and what i research and plan out to get the genre as well as what the concept of the magazine is. Advertising women seasonal clothing on magazine covers because i aim to reach my target audience. So, by putting young women as the front cover images changes the magazine demographic group. Evaluation

For my coursework my aims was to produce a professionally designed two magazine covers and a double spread page which could compete with similar existing products in the market currently. My magazine is aiming to break into the seasonal fashion/woman's magazine genre and is going to be in competition with magazines such as Vogue and Marie Claire. The title of my magazine is called 'Fashion Time' the title of the magazine is important as it signifies what the magazine is about and who it is aimed at. This title fits my market for the age range of 16 to 25 that are interested in fashion. 'Fashion Time' signifies youth, self value, confidence and look's. How does political contexts affect the newspaper industry?

The concept of 'press freedom' is politically significant it is seen as a vital element of modern democracy as a representation of democracy ... an informed populace to vote rationally and choose the best government for the country. It is in this political context that newspapers have been allowed to be more opinionated than other media, such as tv or Radiss, ehich are more likely to required to be impartial in their news cover. One Daily Mirror headline, for example,'Brexit delay mayhem' would have not been used on tv. The Times investigation of Theresa May being driven to despair could have been viewpoint that is more concentrated on her rather than the problem of Brexit. It would have to be balanced by the opposite view of tv.
